No Replay For 2020/21 FA Cup, See Full Schedule

The English Football Association had on Thursday announced that replays won’t be taking place in the 2020/21 FA Cup tournament.

The FA Cup replays were cancelled due to fixture congestion in the 2020/21 season. reports that this new development is only for one season, with replays returning in the 2021/22 season.

This simply matches that if a match end in a draw, the team will have to slug it out by going into extra-time and penalties instead of an extra game being held.

After previously revealing that there would be a cut in prize money due to the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic, the FA have also confirmed the schedule for the 2020/21 FA Cup.

It will start with the extra preliminary round on September 1, with the final being held on May 15, 2021.
