Former President Jonathan Confirms Gunmen Attack On His Country Home

Some Unknown Gunmen has, attacked the Otuoke residence of former President Goodluck Jonathan in Ogbia LGA, Bayelsa State.

The former president was unharmed in the attack which many suspect to be an assassination attempt.

A security operative attached to the house was feared dead in the attack but no official statement has been issued by the police or members of Jonathan’s family.

mNaija however learnt that the former President has confirmed the attack by the unknown armed men.

According to a statement issued by his media aide, Ikechukwu Eze, in Abuja earlier today the former president was not in his residence during the attack.

The statement read: “A security post stationed near the Otuoke residence of former President Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan in Bayelsa State was attacked by unknown gunmen early Tuesday morning
