As the governorship and House of Assembly elections draws closer, the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has said that the exercise would expose the presidential poll as a sham.
mNaija reports that the former vice president made this known on Wednesday, in a video addressing Nigerians, which was shared by his spokesman, Paul Ibe.
According to Atiku, Nigerians should disregard the flaws of the presidential election and come out en mass to cast their votes.
Atiku also urged Nigerians to vote for candidates of the PDP during Saturday’s governorship and state House of Assembly elections across the country.
He said: “As the March 18 governorship and House of Assembly elections beckon, I urge you as patriotic citizens to come out in your numbers to cast your votes because that is one of the ways you can use to demonstrate against the sham of an election on February 25.
“As you cast your votes peacefully this Saturday in observance of the electoral and INEC guidelines, be sure to do so for the candidates of the PDP, the only truly national party for the greater and prosperous Nigeria”
