INEC Suspends Announcement of Kogi Governorship Result

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has on Sunday announced that it has suspended the announcement of results in the November 16 governorship election in Kogi State.

mNaija reports the announcement was made by the returning officer.

The officer, while giving reasons for the suspension and postponement noted that this is because results from the last two LGAs are not ready. The announcement of results will resume by 9am on Monday.

As at the time the result announcement was suspended, Yahaya Bello of the All Progressives Congress (APC) leads Musa Wada of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Governor Bello of the APC had 184,430 while Wada of the PDP had 176,803.
