NECO Releases May/June 2019 Exam Results

The National Examinations Council has on Tuesday released the May/June 2019 Senior Secondary School Examination results.

The announcement was made by the NECO Acting Registrar, Mr Abubakar Gana, at the council’s headquarters in Minna, Niger State, adding that 71 per cent of candidates obtained credits in English Language and Mathematics.

Recall that over one million candidates sat for the examination and had been anticipating for the release to enable them to commence admission for the 2019/2020 academic year.

The Public Relations Officer of NECO, Mr. Azeez Sani, also confirmed the release in a note to our correspondent.

“Neco releases the 2019 June/July SSCE results. Also, 71 per cent of the candidates obtained five credits in subjects including English and Mathematics,” he said.

Sani also noted that the marking of the candidates’ answer scripts took two weeks across the country and ended on Saturday, August 10.

The SSCE is conducted for candidates in their final year in secondary school.
