In order to enable Nigerians in the diaspora to register for the National Identity Number, NIN, the National Identity Management Commission, NIMC have advised them to visit the official website of the Commission.
mnaija learnt that the Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NiDCOM, Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa, gave the directive while responding to a netizen who demanded to know how Nigerian citizens in the abroad can enrol for the NIMC.
Dabiri-Erewa in her response to the Twitter user identified as @woye1 noted that the details of the agents approved to register Nigerians for NIN in the diaspora could be found on NIMC’s official website.
“Nigerians abroad are asking how will they enroll for @nimc_ng pls @DrIsaPantami @FMoCDENigeria @nidcom_gov @abikedabiri @GeoffreyOnyeama @ProfOsinbajo,” the netizen asked.
Responding to the tweet, Dabiri-Erewa tweeted: “Nigerians abroad should visit NIMC website http://nimc.gov.ng for details of their agents accredited to register Nigerians abroad all over the world.”

Meanwhile, in another, the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has on Tuesday said it had to shut down some enrolment centres across the country due to the non-adherence to the COVID-19 prevention protocols.
NIMC made this known in a post on its Twitter page on Monday.
