WhatsApp ‘Message Yourself’ Feature Now Rolling out to All Users

WhatsApp is finally rolling out its Message Yourself feature for users on iOS and Android. The feature was initially part of a beta trial that is now being made available to everyone.

Many users might see this as a good deal – having the ability to send messages to themselves on WhatsApp. It’s just a cool feature that would allow users like them to store links, images, set memos, etc. This is something that Telegram had for years.

How WhatsApp Message Yourself Features Works

The feature as the name implies has you sending messages to yourself. But to be clear, you can think of this as a private chat where you can write important notes, save links, upload documents and voice notes, etc.

As earlier said, the feature has been available on Telegram since its launch. It took a while, but it’s finally available for WhatsApp. The company has been testing this feature since October and now it’s ready for all users.

As earlier stated, there are a lot of users that will appreciate that feature. Some have worked their way to have a private chat on WhatsApp. The workaround was creating a group and then removing other members. After that, you would have the “group hub” only for you and your memos.

How to use the Message Yourself feature?

  1. Open your WhatsApp
  2. Create new chat
  3. You will be able to see your contact at the top of the list
  4. Click on your number and Start Messaging!

The feature was unavailable for testing at the time of writing but should be available over the coming weeks.
