Why I Deliberately Wore Sneakers To NBA Conference – Shettima [Video]

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Vice Presidential candidate, Senator Kashim Shettima has revealed the reason for wearing sneakers to the Nigerian Bar Association’s conference held earlier this week.

The social media was set ablaze by the outfit worn by the APC, vice presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima to the conference.

As matter of fact, the APC chieftain outfit became a subject of mockery, leading to the emergence of a trend called #ShettimaChallenge with images of several critics, donning various sizes of suit with a red tie, and pairs of gym shoes across Nigerian Twitter.

However, in a video making rounds online, Shettima claimed that he was told that a presidential candidate has been meeting with some people to foment trouble at the conference, and he was also told the crowd at the NBA conference is a hostile one.

He noted that the outfit was deliberately worn to throw people off during the campaign.

Shettima said, “I was in Lagos for the NBA conference. It used to hold at Eko Hotel and was largely funded by the APC government of Lagos state”

“Subsequently, they moved it to Eko Atlantic; a product of an idea sanctioned by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu

“One of the candidates, he funded his agents and they held meetings for 3 consecutive nights to cause mischief

“When I was told that is was a hostile crowd, I deliberately wore sneakers”.
